This law office isn’t your typical snoozefest and wanted to stand out so I created a serious of ads that appeared in publications, on billboards and in the yellow pages. Bull, Rockstar and 5-Hour Energy, Rev3 is probably the best energy drink that you’ve never heard of. The biggest differentiator is that Rev3 is actually good for you and it’s pomegranate flavored. Mmm pomegranate. I created some interactive screensavers for Rev3 as a promotional tool. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity that I’m proud to be part of by being awarded an honorable mention in the 2003 competition. I took a tongue-and-cheek approach to digital technology at the time. Emoticons are a ubiquitous part of our lives now but were only emerging as a presence then. I combined this new symbol, the emoticon, with a classic design symbol, the smiley face, to create a clever new symbol and added a little commentary with an (lol) to finish it off. I created this package as a holiday gift for my clients with two goals in mind – to do it on a very limited budget and do everything by hand (okay I used the computer too, but used my hands to control it). I accomplished those two goals and then one-upped myself by crafting a product that my clients thought had been purchased at a boutique candy shop.
